Strutts Mill, Belper 16th of November 19:00 – 2:00

£40.00

Strutts Mill, a key player in the early industrial revolution, was constructed between 1781 and 1793 by the Strutt family, who were innovators in the cotton-spinning industry. The mill complex was a bustling hub of activity, employing hundreds of workers, including many children, who toiled long hours under challenging conditions. The harsh working environment and dangerous machinery led to numerous accidents and fatalities over the years. While specific records of deaths at the mill are sparse, it’s likely that injuries and deaths were not uncommon given the era and working conditions.
