The Rutland Chesterfield 29th of June 8pm – 2am

£20.00

The Rutland Arms Hotel in Chesterfield, just off the grounds of the iconic Crooked Spire Church, boasts a fascinating history filled with tales of the supernatural, making it an ideal location for a ghost hunt.

Dating back to the 17th century, the Rutland Arms began as a coaching inn, welcoming travelers from near and far. Over time, it has become intertwined with local legends and ghostly lore, with reports of spectral sightings and eerie occurrences abound.

One of the most chilling tales involves the apparition of a Lady in White who is said to wander the hotel’s corridors. According to legend, she is the ghost of a bride who met a tragic end on her wedding day centuries ago. Witnesses describe her as a sorrowful figure, clad in a flowing white gown and veil, her presence sending shivers down the spine of anyone who encounters her on a moonlit night.

Another haunting story revolves around the mysterious Phantom Pianist whose ethereal melodies echo through the empty halls of The Rutland. Guests and staff have reported hearing the haunting strains of piano music late at night, yet upon investigation, no pianist can be found. Some speculate that the ghostly musician is a former guest or performer who met a tragic fate and now lingers on, his music haunting the hotel for eternity.

These ghostly tales, along with many others, add to the allure and mystique of the Rutland Arms Hotel, drawing ghost hunters and enthusiasts eager to uncover the truth behind the paranormal phenomena said to inhabit its historic walls.
